Farewell Cusco Peru – You Were A Worthy Opponent

Farewell Cusco, Peru! We enjoyed our time here, but the lull in the December 2022 political protests inspired us to beat feet and leave Peru!

Although we enjoyed our time in Lima, it was time to move on. So yesterday we hopped on a plane and flew to our new Airbnb in Cusco, Peru!

Adios Guatemala, hola Peru!
The second stage of our travels have begun.

After another 13.5 hours on a bus, we finally arrived in Antigua Guatemala. Welcome to our new Airbnb!

Finally made it to San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala to begin our Spanish language studies. Can’t believe we are students again!

We arrived safe and sound in Guatemala City. And despite being exhausted, we explored the local area!

The key to surviving disrupted travel plans is adaptability, a positive mindset, and a stiff drink or two. Not necessarily in that order.

Onward to Florida and to becoming residents! And having a little fun there too.
